Megan Craft

Megan Craft was born in Fairfax, VA, but currently resides in Tucson, AZ, where she enjoys the warm climate and an endless list of outdoor activities. While growing up, she was immersed in the arts by her father, using it as a form of expression from an early age. Stating 'When I was younger, painting and drawing was a need, like a building pressure to release my emotion within my body and move it through." Craft invites you to join her on the journey of self-discovery through forms, figures, and colors. Pulling from memories and personal experiences, Craft uses her art as a form of expression, connecting deeper with her feelings and personal battles. 

 

Primarily known for her paintings that represent the feminine body, Craft uses exaggerated shapes and vibrant colors to express the different emotions throughout a woman's life. Her choice of shapes can be a direct reflection of her emotion, while the carefully thought-out selection of colors helps create an eye-catching story that will leave her audience finding different stories in one piece. Craft hopes her work will leave her audience feeling filled, with a new sense of excitement toward their own self-discovery.
