Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Akiva Uriel Bakst currently resides in Tampa, Florida, where he focuses on the development and evolution of his artistic style. Bakst's passion for music and guitar greatly influences his creative process, allowing him to relieve stress and reach a state of tranquil mindlessness.

As Bakst began to explore his artistic side, drawing and traditional illustration came naturally to him. It wasn't until college that he learned how to use programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and began developing his digital art skills. Since traditional drawing and illustrations were his primary medium, learning to digitally do this posed a more significant learning curve than expected. After sometime Bakst found his style, combining his physical and digital art skills to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Over the years, Bakst began to utilize a draftsmanship mindset and looked toward people like Francisco Goya, Salvador Dali, Maxfield Parrish, and N.C. Wyeth for added inspiration. His attraction to dark, obscure art and infatuation with pulling feelings of discomfort out of viewers heavily influences the art Bakst makes. His love for emotional expression and unique mindset gives his illustrations an expressionist quality seen primarily in traditional fine art. Combining these factors has allowed Bakst to perfect his craft and produce the work seen today. As he ventures into the NFT world, who knows how his art will evolve.
